The Professor has landed in the Big Easy to explore Tulane University.
Tulane is in the heart of New Orleans, LA. This prestigious, private research institution was originally founded as a public medical college in 1834. Its areas of study have expanded significantly in the past 179 years and currently offers a wide variety of degrees in business, law, architecture, liberal arts, tropical medicine, public health, engineering and social work. The size of the student body is much larger than other private schools with just over 8,400 undergraduates and 5,000 graduate students. Enrollment may be higher than other private institutions, yet the class size is still intimate with a student/faculty rating of 9:1. The average GPA of those accepted to Tulane is 3.51.

The Professor got very lost at Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia.
This school dates back to 1847 when it was transported from Staunton, Virginia by a single wagon to its “new” location of Salem, Virginia. Since then, it has grown in size with a student population of about 2,100 and offers 37 different majors. Roanoke is listed on several “best colleges” lists including The Princeton Review, US News & World Report and Forbes magazine. It is also one of only 280 nationwide colleges to boast a chapter of the most prestigious and oldest honor society – Phi Beta Kappa.

The professor landed in Worcester, Massachusetts which he discovered was not the birthplace of Worcestershire Sauce. Worcester’s population of 180,000 is definitely a college town as it is home to 10 colleges and universities, including the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, College of the Holy Cross, Clark University, the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. The Professor flew over to further investigate the urban setting of Clark University.
